The Fujitsu FM Towns Marty is a console from the fifth generation of video game consoles. Based on the software library of the [[FM_Towns:FM_Towns_Mods_Wiki|FM Towns PC]], the console was launched in Japan on February 20, 1993 and never saw a global release. A variant — the FM Towns Car Marty — was designed to be installed in an automobile and included a built in navigation system with audio and video guidance, and could also be detached from the car and played at home. Marty is more of a computer rather than a console and sported several excellent arcade ports as well as IBM DOS ports. Marty is unique compared to FM Towns computer as it has 'pad-to-mouse' emulation in the BIOS reducing the need for owning a mouse. Some games however aren't compatible with 'pad-to-mouse' emulation and require the original mouse. Marty unfortunately has S-video and Composite as the only available video output.
The ColecoVision is a console from the second generation of video game consoles. The console was launched in August 1982 in North America followed by a launch in Europe in July 1983. The ColecoVision was known for its impressive graphics and sound capabilities relative to its competitors and offered arcade-like experiences in the comfort of players' homes. Three expansion modules were created for it. Expansion Module #1 allowed playing of Atari 2600 games and controllers (which resulted in a lawsuit), Expansion Module #2 is a steering wheel and gas pedal combo, and Expansion Module #3 converts the ColecoVision into a Coleco ADAM computer with a keyboard, cassette drive, 64KB of RAM, and a printer. Coleco ended support of the ColecoVision by the end of 1985, and left the video game market entirely. A large homebrew scene for the console began to emerge during the late 1990s and early 2000s, with the console seeing a large number of MSX and [[SG-1000:SG-1000 Mods Wiki|SG-1000]] ports and even a new expansion module, the Super Game Module.
