To apply the firmware update, copy the firmware.upd file into the root directory (ie. not in any sub-directory, H:\ for example, however your drive letter may vary) of a memory card, insert this cart into the Jaguar GameDrive cartridge and turn on the Jaguar.
Several messages will appear in the format "Updating XXXX..." and a progress bar will appear under the Retro HQ logo for a short time. Once the firmware update is complete the console will boot to the menu as normal. The current version of firmware items installed can be found by pressing 0 on the Jaguar control pad on the game menu.
