Explaning oversampling

I read things about both the 5X-Pro and the 2X-M doing something called "oversampling" in order to work around chroma subsampling while digitizing and processing the analog signals. I think it would be useful if someone knowledgeable about electronics and ADC was to explain what it means and why it matter for both aforementioned scalers. On paper, everyone want the best video output, but very little people know the difference between "ideal" and "optimal". 😅 -Bowi (talk) 19:00, 20 December 2022 (UTC)
