On a PSP with CFW installed, you can swap the X and O buttons to change which button is to confirm and cancel. You may wish to do this if you have a Japanese PSP and want to change the confirm button to X.

Swapping

  1. In the XMB, press Select to open the VSH Menu. Then select Recovery Menu or Enter Recovery. If pressing Select does not bring up the VSH Menu or the recovery menu option isn't there, turn on the PSP while holding the R button to boot into the recovery menu.
  2. In the recovery menu, select Registry Hacks.
  3. Select Swap O/X Buttons or Button Assign.
  4. In the main menu, select Reset VSH or Exit.

The PSP will restart. Your X and O buttons should now be swapped.
