Better Homebrew Browser is a homebrew application that can browse and easily install homebrew utilities and games from VitaDB or CBPS DB. It serves as an alternative to VitaDB Downloader while being styled after the Vita's PlayStation Store (including the same background music).

A downside of BH Browser is that background downloads will be terminated without a warning when you open an enlarged memory mode game. There is no way to avoid this, but it's not a problem in most cases.

Features

  • Uses Sony's PlayStation Application Framework (PAF)
  • Supports multithreading
  • Supports background downloading
  • It looks, sounds, and feels almost exactly like the official PlayStation Store App
  • It can be opened alongside other apps

Installation

  1. Download the latest VPK release.
  2. Launch VitaShell and enable FTP or USB file transfering with the SELECT button.
  3. Transfer the VPK to a folder on ux0:/ and highlight the VPK. Press X to install it.
