The Sony Ericcson Xperia Play is a PlayStation-focused Android smartphone released on April 1st, 2001 in Europe followed by North America (May 26th, 2011). The device runs Android 2.3.7 (Gingerbread) and features a slide-out control board resembling that of a PSP Go. The focus of this device was to play PlayStation Mobile (PSM) games — a software platform that supported 683 games on the PlayStation Vita/TV and a handful of Sony Xperia, HTC One, and other devices.
