The Harmony Cartridge is a flash cart by Fred Quimby that is capable of playing Atari 2600 games on an Atari 2600 or Atari 7800 console.
It can be purchased from AtariAge and the latest firmware downloads and support can be found on the forums.
Usage
- Format a 32GB or smaller SD card as FAT or FAT32.
- Copy your Atari 2600 binary (
.bin
) files to the SD card. Other file types will need to be converted to.bin
. Keep in mind that the Harmony cart will only display the first 24 characters of any file name.- On Mac you will need to copy and paste the files to the SD card to preserve file order.
- Insert the SD card into the cartridge and the cartridge into the console.
- Power on the console and use the joystick or the SELECT/RESET keys to navigate the SD card and select a title to play.
- You can page faster by holding the fire button while moving the joystick left/right - this will skip forwards or backwards through the menu 10 pages at a time.
- You can display the full filename for a menu entry by holding down the fire button for more than a half second.
