The NullCIC is a perfect solution to replace the original CIC lockout chip for the NES, or the open-source hardware project, OpenTendo. It retains reset functionality and it is region free, supporting cartridges from any region.
Bugs
The NullCIC fails to soft-reset the NES if its using an Everdrive N8 flashcard. That doesn't mean it can be used, this means you cannot press the reset button to reboot the console.
