A handful of DVD movies can be put into an Xbox and it will boot a demo game. Since these XBEs are signed to run from DVD, one can burn a DVD+R disc with the default.xbe on it and be able to play the demos. The disc must be burned with booktype DVD-ROM and the DVD drive must support layertype "read only" which is a firmware feature in a very small handful of DVD burners, likely a mistake from the factory. A burned disc's layertype can be checked with the File:DVDLayerTypeChecker.zip.
The Hulk bonus disc is special in that it contains a unique late-term dashboard signed to run from DVD. The dashboard hash checks all files from the C: drive, so the font exploit cannot be used. In XQEMU, you can add missing dash 1920 XIP files into the dashboard and actually boot to the initial dashboard menu. However, if you select an option it will freeze. This has not been replicated on original hardware.
