3DS:Creating Game Backups

Circumventing DRM mechanisms and/or creating backup copies of games and media for personal use is a right granted only in some countries. Required Items

• Make sure you have Custom Firmware (CFW) installed.
• Have the latest GodMode9 installed.
• The 3DS or DS Cartridge you want to dump.

Steps to Dumping a 3DS Cartridge

1. Insert the 3DS Cartridge into your 3DS.
2. Hold (Start) and power on your 3DS.
3. GodMode9 will launch.
4. Navigate to [C:].
5. Choose the TitleID.trim.3ds.
6. Copy to 0:/gm9/out.
7. Turn off the 3DS.
8. Remove the SD Card and insert it into a PC.
9. Navigate to /gm9/out on the SD Card.
10. Copy or Move the TitleID.trim.3ds to somewhere on your PC.
11. Now you have a backup you can play on a 3DS Emulator on your PC.

Steps to Dumping a DS Cartridge

1. Insert the DS Cartridge into your 3DS.
2. Hold (Start) and power on your 3DS.
3. GodMode9 will launch.
4. Navigate to [C:].
5. Choose the TitleID.nds.
6. Copy to 0:/gm9/out.
7. Turn off the 3DS.
8. Remove the SD Card and insert it into a PC.
9. Navigate to /gm9/out on the SD Card.
10. Copy or Move the TitleID.nds to somewhere on your PC.
11. Now you have a backup you can play on a DS Emulator on your PC.
