This page may potentially need to be renamed to an all encompassing "Incompatibilities with games running off the hard drive".
Below is a list of games that have HDD patches of unknown significance. The patches are out there but there doesnt seem to be a concise explanation of what they are doing. This section needs to be researched further for clarification.
 
I've started this list here of a few of them that I've found from posts on other sites. If anyone finds another example and can confirm it (either first hand or with other evidence) please add it to this list. I'm going to personally verify this initial list soon, and any of them that say are unverified mean that I have not done so yet. If you have personally verified the issue, then feel free to remove the "unverified".
 
Below is a list of games that cannot be copied over to the HDD (such as over FTP) due to having files with more than 42 characters in the name. Most of these games have patches available so that they can be copied, while others do not have patches and must be mounted to run.
