Playing Copied Games
Marty never had copy protection to prevent copied games from running. The Floppy games however would have copy protections sometimes but this is minor and trivial in the grand scheme.
The only protection FM Towns games would have on CD-ROM was just a "CD-check" to make sure you're running the game from the CD drive and not a hard drive.
Burning a game to CD-R will work on Marty provided the dumps are from a known good source and usually burning at a lower RPM. Low RPM settings myth is true only for much older CD burners otherwise you can burn the games on CD. Any disc imaging software will work fine with burning FM Towns backup games to disc.
You will need a method to write to a floppy disk for floppy disks. Greaseweazle and Kyroflux can write to disk perfectly but might be too difficult or expensive to write floppy disks for most people.
LinuxDD with a USB drive could possibly be used.
