"Marty has a black screen on powerup and I know the power supply is good"
Few things cause this condition:
- ASIC have bad solder joints
- CPU has bad solder joints
- bad CPU upgrade mod / 486 CPU swap doesn't work inside Marty
Reflow each individual ASIC first (this is much more common condition). This should revive Marty.
"Marty goes to BIOS screen and hangs/does nothing and cannot enter star field screen"
Same condition as the above. However this is more common with bad joints on CPU. Reflow all the solder joints and make sure nothing is bridging.
