Introduced in 1987, the Sony PVM-1390 is one of the few PVMs that is directly based on a consumer Trinitron chassis, including an all-plastic construction. It features a decent variety of inputs including a single BNC composite video connector, a VTR input for connecting a professional video tape recorder, an S-video input (introduced that same year with the S-VHS standard), and a 25-pin CMPTR input which accepts both analog and TTL RGB.
