The GBS-Control is a third party CPU (ESP8266) and firmware replacement for common, inexpensive video scalers using the Trueview5725 video processor. The mod increases its capabilities and flexibility.

The boards are usually marketed as "CGA/EGA/YUV to VGA", perhaps the most prominent of these is the GBS-8200 series, hence the name.

The modifications turn a laggy, hard to use, bothersome upscaler into a low latency up- and downscaler with a effective web interface. Development is also ongoing still, and features are added frequently.
