There are many different video cables available for the various models of Genesis consoles.
Genesis 1 Cables
RGB (SCART)
The Genesis Model 1 doesn’t output stereo through the rear A/V port; that port only outputs mono sound. Luckily, the front headphone jack does output stereo, so the Genesis 1 cables listed above have a 3.5mm headphone cable that routes stereo audio through the SCART connector.
- Sega Genesis / Mega Drive 1 Stereo RGB SCART cable (UK Seller)
- Sega Genesis / Mega Drive 1 RGB SCART Cable csync (US Seller)
Component YPbPr
While the Genesis doesn't support native YPbPr output, you can use a cable to convert RGB output to YPbPr.
- Retro Gaming Cables - Genesis 1 Component Video Cables
Genesis 1 to Genesis 2 Adapters
- Genesis 1 with Stereo Audio to Genesis 2 Adapter - US Seller
- Genesis 1 Mono Audio / Sega Master System to Genesis 2 Adapter
- Genesis 1 with Stereo Audio to Genesis 2 Adapter - UK Seller** (Not compatible with the RAD2x or HD Retrovision cables)
Genesis 2 Cables
Any Genesis that uses the Genesis 2-style port (such as CDX, RGB-modded Genesis 3, etc) can use one of these cables.
RGB (SCART)
- Sega Genesis / Mega Drive 2 RGB Scart Cable (UK Seller)
- Sega Genesis / Mega Drive 2 RGB Scart Cable (US Seller #1)
- Sega Genesis / Mega Drive 2 RGB Scart Cable (US Seller #2)
HDMI
Although the Genesis doesn't support native HDMI output, you can use a cable that adapts RGB to HDMI.
- Genesis 2 RAD2X: [1]
Component YPbPr
- HD Retrovision - Genesis 2 Component Video Cables
- Retro Gaming Cables - Genesis 2 Component Video Cables
Genesis 3 Cables
The model 3 Genesis requires a modification to enable RGB output. Once modded, you can use the same cables as the Genesis 2, provided you used the same connector.
