Installation
PCH-1000
The 1000 models have USB-C replacement boards, such as the ones available from OxyllMods.
- Desolder the old power jack.
- Solder the new one in place.
- ///////////////// More wires
You may need to dremel the shell plastic a bit to fit the USB-C port.
STL files for the USB-C bezel created by oxyll are available File:VitaC bezel.zip.
PCH-2000
You can purchase a generic USB-C breakout board such as this one, this one, or this one. Ensure that you purchase one with two resistors on the board.
- Disassemble your console and desolder the old power jack.
- Solder wires to the power jack pads and the USB-C PCB.
- Use 3M double sided foam tape to mount the port in place.
