Backing Up a Game Card
To run a game in emulators or install your physical games onto your Vita/PSTV, a dump of your game will be needed.
Follow the instructions on Vita:Installing Plugins to install NoNpDrm plugin (if it's not already installed) and launch the game you wish to dump.
- Launch VitaShell.
- Press and set [USB device] to [Game Card].
- Press to enter FTP (see Vita:Transferring Files with FTP).
- On your PC file browser, navigate to
gro0:
->/app/
and copy your game folder/TITLE_ID/
to a location on your PC. - Go to
ux0:
->/nonpdrm/
->/license/
->/app/
->/TITLE_ID/
and rename the .rif file towork.bin
. - In your PC game backup folder, go to
/TITLE_ID/
->/sce_sys/
->/package/
and copywork.bin
to the/TITLE_ID/
->/sce_sys/
->/package/

Installing a Backup to LiveArea
This assumes you dumped a game card using the method outlined earlier.
- Launch VitaShell.
- Press to enter FTP (see Vita:Transferring Files with FTP).
- Transfer the game backup
/TITLE_ID/
from your PC to theux0:/app/
folder on your PS Vita memory card. - Press on your PS Vita to exit FTP/USB mode.
- Go back to the VitaShell root directory list.
- Press and select [Refresh LiveArea™].
- Exit VitaShell and launch your game from the LiveArea.
