This application can be used for piracy. Its creators do not condone this. |
PKGj is a homebrew application for PlayStation Vita, released initially on October 23, 2017. Released by cuevavirus, its latest release can be downloaded here. There is also a PS3 version, named PKGi.
Installation
You would install PKGj like you would any other PSVita homebrew app. Download the file from the above link, and put it in a folder, preferably named /vpk/
, in the Memory Card partition (ux0:
). Using VitaShell or Molecular Shell, navigate to this folder and press X while hovering over the VPK to install it.
This app can also be found on the PS Vita Homebrew Browser.
Usage
Using PKGj, you can download 5 main types of content for the PlayStation Vita.
- Games
- Themes
- Demos
- DLC
- PSMobile Games
Press the triangle button to open the menu which will appear at the right hand side of the screen. You can sort content by these 5 selections.
You can also download:
- PSP games
- PS1 games
- PSP DLC
But unfortunately, you need a separate app to run this content. It is called Adrenaline. You need to be on 3.60 firmware in order to use it.
Notes
In order to download content on PKGj, you need to install the plugin NoNpDrm. If you are on a lower firmware than your content supports, you need to install reF00D.
