Required Items
- Make sure you have Custom Firmware (CFW) installed.
- Have the latest GodMode9 installed.
- The 3DS or DS Cartridge you want to dump.
- Have the latest FBI installed if you want to install it to your 3DS
Dumping a 3DS Cartridge for use on your 3DS
- Insert the 3DS Cartridge into your 3DS.
- Hold (Start) and power on your 3DS. GodMode9 will launch.
- Navigate to [C:].
- Choose the TitleID.trim.3ds.
- Choose NCSD image options...
- Choose Build CIA from file
- Reboot back into the 3DS Homebrew
- Launch FBI
- On the Main Menu click on SD
- Navigate to
gm9
- Click on
out
- Click on the TitleID.trim.standard.cia
- Wait for it to install
- Boot back to the main screen
- Open up the Gift
- You are now able to play your backed up game on your 3DS without the Cartridge
Dumping a 3DS Cartridge for an Emulator
- Insert the 3DS Cartridge into your 3DS.
- Hold (Start) and power on your 3DS. GodMode9 will launch.
- Navigate to [C:].
- Choose the TitleID.trim.3ds.
- Choose NCSD image options...
- Decrypt file (0:/gm9/out).
- Turn off the 3DS.
- Remove the SD Card and insert it into a PC.
- Navigate to
/gm9/out
on the SD Card - Copy or Move the TitleID.trim.3ds to somewhere on your PC.
- Now you have a backup you can play on a 3DS Emulator on your PC.
Dumping a DS Cartridge for an Emulator
- Insert the DS Cartridge into your 3DS.
- Hold (Start) and power on your 3DS. GodMode9 will launch.
- Navigate to [C:].
- Choose the TitleID.nds.
- Copy to
0:/gm9/out
. - Turn off the 3DS.
- Remove the SD Card and insert it into a PC.
- Navigate to
/gm9/out
on the SD Card. - Copy or Move the TitleID.nds to somewhere on your PC.
- Now you have a backup you can play on a DS Emulator on your PC.
