Below is a list of games that cannot be copied over to the HDD (such as over FTP) due to having files with more than 42 characters in the name. Most of these games have patches available to fix said files, while others do not have patches and must be mounted to run.

| Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition Remix | Patch available. |
| Monster Garage | No patch available. Can be ran off the HDD via mounting. |
| Rugby League | No patch available. DVD2Xbox has an ACL patch built in. |
| Ski Racing 2006 | No patch available. Cannot be extracted due to one of the files having an invalid character (?) in the name. |
| TOCA Race Driver 2 | Patch available. |
| TOCA Race Driver 3 | Patch available. |
| Tony Hawk's American Wasteland | No patch available. Can be ran off the HDD via mounting. |
| Tony Hawk's Project 8 | No patch available. Can be ran off the HDD via mounting. |
| True Crime: New York City | Patch available. |
