Browser Emulators

I wrote but then decided against adding the below instructions as it does not support the Xbox One controller for play. I may add a page for these types of in-browser emulators in the future and add it there - if I find any that support controllers.

While not technically Xbox One homebrew, the Eclipse Emu website offers a suite of emulators that can be played in-browser using a USB keyboard. For a video guide, see this video by Blaine Locklair.

1. Copy ROMs you wish to play to a FAT32 formatted USB drive. An organized folder structure is acceptable.
2. Plug the USB drive into your Xbox One and a USB keyboard.
3. On your Xbox One, open Microsoft Edge.
4. Navigate to https://eclipseemu.me and select Get > "Above link not working?" > Play Online (Mirror). This skips a pop-up that isn't well handled by Microsoft Edge.
5. Press the Menu (Start) button on the controller and choose "Use browsing controls".
6. Select "Skip setup", scroll to the bottom, and choose "Agree & Continue".
7. Scroll to the bottom and choose "Close Setup".
8. You may wish to configure the following settings by clicking the Settings cog:
   • Keyboard: Allows you to control mappings. These mappings will persist even if you exit the website.
   • Fill Screen: Turn off to prevent stretching 4:3 games to 16:9.
9. Select the + button in the top-right corner, then Upload.
10. Select the USB device icon on the left-hand side and choose the ROM. It will automatically load the game in an appropriate emulator.
    • Press the View button on the controller to enter full screen.
