Generation 1
The PassMe was an adapter for the original DS/DS Lite models. It involves attaching a retail DS cartridge to bypass the cart security (hence the name 'pass-through'). The PassMe can then boot from a GBA flashcard into DS-mode for loading DS games and homebrew. This was, if not, one of the earliest methods of booting unsigned code on the DS. Homebrew and game compatibility is very limited, and therefore requires DLDI patching for your specific cart.

R4 Revolution for DS | [[File:R4v2.png|thumb|R4DS v2 (black)] | R4 Team. The V1 had issues relating to the spring-loaded microSD slot, which got stuck after many uses. So in response to this, they release the V2 model by opting for a plastic slot instead. |
