360 Content Manager is a Windows application created by xamphear which provides easy file management of any STFS/SVOD package used by the Xbox 360.

Features

  • Browse 360 files on your PC by their real info, like game name and package title.
  • Unlock XBLA, DLC and Avatar files downloaded from Xbox Live.
  • Upload files (XBLA, DLC, GOD, Avatar, Title Update) to your console over FTP with a single click. Files are automatically uploaded to the right folders.
  • Drag and drop files to other applications, if you'd prefer to use your own FTP client.
  • Organize a messy folder of downloaded content into 1 of many different directory styles. Restore the original filenames for XBLA and DLC files.
  • View the MediaID of Title Updates and GODs so you can match them, and search JQE and XBUC for matching TUs.
  • View the MediaID of ISO files. (Requires abgx360)
  • View the MediaID of default.xex files.
  • Browse your 360's hard drive directly, using FSD. This allows you to delete, unlock, edit and copy the contents of the 360's internal drive over the network.

Usage

Extract the zip file for 360 Content manager in a folder somewhere on your computer. From here, you can open the Contentmanager.exe to run the application.

The OOB setup will ask you if you want to browse content on your 360, browse content on your PC, or upload files from your PC to your 360. The first option and third options will prompt you to enter your Xbox 360's IP address, with the third prompt requiring you to set up SMB with FreeStyle Dash.

Each directory on your PC will be listed on the left tab. You can navigate to the folder where all of your content is stored, and right click it so you can make it a home folder for quick access. Pressing F4 or clicking the on-screen prompt will scan the current folder you're in for any STFS/SVOD content.

Copying Content to USB drive

  1. Navigate to the folder for your digital content and allow it to scan each directory by clicking the on-screen prompt, right clicking on the folder, or pressing F4.
  2. Select any of the applications you want to transfer to your USB storage.
  3. Select the option "Reorganize checked files" with the broom icon in the toolbar, right clicking the games list, or in the 360 Content Manager drop down menu.
  4. For your Output Folder, select the Content/0000000000000000 directory on your USB drive. Then, make sure the output path style is TitleID\ContentID\File. This will ensure that it is in the correct path for installation, and will also allow the Games on Demand to show on the Microsoft dashboard.
  5. Click Organize. Content Organizer will then create the directories and copy the files for you.
  6. Once finished, safely eject the USB storage from your computer and connect it to your Xbox 360. You can transfer the data to the internal drive using a custom dashboard's file manager or the stock dashboard's storage settings if you wish.

Set up FSD3 SMB

This step is only required if you would like to manage content directly on the console. 360 Content Manager still supports FTP for uploading any content to the system, but FSD's SMB will allow you to directly see and manage content on the console as well.

  1. Install FSD & Enable SMB Server
    1. Run it and go to Setup > Settings > General Settings.
    2. Check the box next to "Enable Samba Server".
    3. Exit FSD and open it again. Leave it running.
  2. Configure 360 Content Manager
    1. Open 360 Content Manager and enter your 360's IP address under the FTP tab of settings if you haven't already.
    2. Test the connection to make sure the status says "Connection to FSD Successful".
    3. Save the settings.
    4. Click the "Show Xbox 360 Drive" button in the toolbar (green xbox logo) or press Alt+X.
    5. If you get an error message saying the program was unable to connect, exit and restart FSD on your 360.
    6. For best results, try to connect from your PC immediately after FSD opens on your 360.
  3. Scan Content Folder and Manage Files
    1. If you don't get an error message, look in the left side tree for a new entry called "Xbox 360".
    2. Expand it and navigate to the "Hdd1:\Content\0000000000000000" folder.
    3. This is where all games and DLC are stored. Pressing F4 will load ALL files on your 360 into the main view.
    4. Note that this can take some time depending on the speed of your network and how many files you have installed.
