The GBS-Control is a third party CPU (ESP8266) and firmware replacement for scalers using the Trueview5725 video processor, increasing its capabilities and flexibility; usually marketed as "CGA/EGA/YUV to VGA", perhaps the most prominent of these is the GBS-8200 series, hence the name.
Every fundamental accessory excluded, Raspberry Pi style, this still means turning a basic $25 scaler into a more respectable entry level $35 one with Wi-Fi remote control to boot!
