I read things about both the 5X-Pro and the 2X-M doing something called "oversampling" in order to work around chroma subsampling while digitizing and processing the analog signals. I think it would be useful if someone knowledgeable about electronics and ADC was to explain what it means and why it matter for both aforementioned scalers. This is a tricky issue to explain, I'll eventually go over the whole "Chroma Subsampling" and how the Tink is engineered to compensate for it eventually when I have all the facts and a better working knowledge. - Old Kid

Explaining Oversampling

I read things about both the 5X-Pro and the 2X-M doing something called "oversampling" in order to work around chroma subsampling while digitizing and processing the analog signals. I think it would be useful if someone knowledgeable about electronics and ADC was to explain what it means and why it matter for both aforementioned scalers.
