The AES has a design flaw that causes extra pressure to be put on the top of the PCB which eventually can cause traces to be severed or rubbed off. Fixing the Issue

  1. Disassemble the console and locate the problematic standoff in the center of the top shell. This is the standoff that touches the center of the top of the motherboard, where there is a circular indent in the thin foam pad in the image below.

  2. Use any cutting tool to trim some the stand-off down or completely remove it.
