If your cartridge lever is loose on your launch model SNES, you can take the console apart and move the bottom end of the spring into the hole on the left. This will add more tension on the spring and make the cartridge release lever much more firm.

If your cartridge release lever isn't as firm as it used to be, you can simply move the spring slightly over. I find moving it just this tiny bit makes a huge difference: [[File:SNESCartridgeSpring.jpg]]
