Xbox:Saves

This guide will walk you through managing your Xbox game saves. Game saves can be found in the UDATA folder on the E: drive. Title-specific data such as homebrew, DLC, updates and the Microsoft dashboard music songs are stored in TDATA. Some games also store save data in TDATA.

Moving Saves via FTP

FTP allows you to easily move saves from device to device. Start an FTP session and navigate to the UDATA folder on the E: drive. From here, you can choose the desired game by Title ID, and move saves to or from your Xbox.

Moving Saves via USB

In the case that you cannot use FTP, you can use a USB flash drive or memory card to move saves to your PC. This requires either an Xbox-to-USB-female adapter, like this one on AliExpress, or an adapter for your memory card to be plugged into your PC. Use the built in save manager on the Xbox dashboard or on your modified dashboard to move the save to your storage device, and then plug your storage device into your PC. In order to access the saves on the device, you will need to use Xplorer360 to extract them. Likewise, if you want to put saves onto the device, you will need to inject them with Xplorer360.

Resigning EEPROM-Locked Saves

Some games are locked to the EEPROM they were created with. Some games with EEPROM locked saves include: Burnout 3: Takedown, Dead or Alive Ultimate (1 and 2), Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball, Forza Motorsport, Half-Life 2, Ninja Gaiden, Ninja Gaiden Black and Tron 2.0: Killer App. You will need to use a backup of your EEPROM with the program xSaveSig to resign it to work on your system. Forza has a dedicated tool for it.

Moving Saves to or from an Xbox 360

• You can move a save to an Xbox 360 by moving the save via FTP to a PC, then using Xplorer360 to inject it onto a USB storage device or connect a transfer cable to the hard drive and placing it on partition 3 under Compatability > Xbox 1 > UDATA.

• You can move a save from an Xbox 360 by using Xplorer360 to grab the save from either a USB storage device or by connecting a transfer cable to the hard drive and retrieving it from partition 3 under Compatability > Xbox 1 > UDATA.
