Game Boy:Battery Contacts

From ConsoleMods Wiki

In the event that battery corrosion has damaged your Game Boy contacts so much that it cannot be cleaned with a solution, the contact terminals can be replaced with clean ones.

The Game Boy DMG has one positive and one negative terminal that is soldered to the Game Boy board while three other terminals (both negative and positive on each end) are just slid into an opening on the back shell in the battery compartment. The three terminals in the shell can be pulled out with pliers to be replaced, while the two terminals on the PCB will have to be desoldered and reinstalled with replacements.

The Game Boy Color, Light, and Color all have two terminals soldered to the PCB with one more terminal that slides into the shell housing.
