VitaDeploy is a PS Vita homebrew application with many useful utilities. It is typically the first application installed when freshly jailbreaking a PS Vita because of this.

Installation

The easiest way to install VitaDeploy is to use henlo_jb, as this exploit can also be ran on unmodified consoles and requires very few steps. This jailbreak can even be self hosted on your LAN for offline access.

Features

File Manager

Built in version of VitaShell. Usage is the same as if it was standalone, except using option Restart VitaShell will instead take you back to the main screen of VitaDeploy.

It is recommended to install this app standalone for easier access, but this built-in version is useful when getting started for VPK installation on a freshly modded console.

Firmware installer

  • VitaDeploy can download the following firmwares: 3.60, 3.65 or 3.68
  • The following tai presets are available for download via VD:
    • Vanilla - taiHEN and HENkaku only
    • Recommended - taiHENkaku and some core homebrew plugins
    • R + YAMT - Recommended preset with the YAMT storage tool
  • "Quick install" installs the 3.65 Firmware with the R+YAMT preset
  • You can install your own PUP by putting it in ud0:PSP2UPDATE/

App downloader

VitaDeploy allows direct downloads of the following homebrew apps over the internet.

    • This link can be ignored as it tries to download the old original version of Vitashell.

  • Adrenaline
  • PKGj
  • vita-savemgr
  • Custom Themes Manager

Miscellaneous

Accessed through the Miscellaneous menu. Contains many built-in apps.

Replace 'near' with VitaDeploy

Self explanatory. Replaces the application for the discontinued Near service with Vitadeploy. This is useful on PCH-1xxx Vitas without a memory card or as a backup if you ever format your memory card.

Mount SD2Vita to grw0:

Mounts an SD2Vita as a game cartridge partition. Useful for homebrew or file transfers.

Format a storage device

Allows you to format many storage devices on the PS Vita as TexFAT, FAT16, or FAT32.

IMCUnlock

A small application that allows modification of the PS Vita's eMMC partitions. It is quite useful on a "fat" OLED console, as it can allow for the usage of an internal memory card.

Usage
  1. Back up any important files in the ur0, vd0, and tm0 partitions.
  2. Once VitaDeploy has been installed, go to the Miscellaneous tab and click Create an internal memory card
  3. Select the desired partition configuration. It is recommended to use the PCH-2xxx's configuration if you are adding an internal memory card on a PCH-1xxx console.
  4. Restart the PS Vita. You should now have a 1 GB internal memory card.
Partition Configurations
  • "100MB ux0 partition" - Creates a ~100MB imc partition, requires formatting it via settings or safemode.
  • "Hybrid ur0-pd0 and 2.5GB ux0" - ur0 becomes imc, makes pd0 and ur0 share the same data region (pd0 = ur0).
  • "Default 2xxx storage configuration" - A ~1GB imc partition with 1.5GB ur0, requires formatting imc via settings or safemode.
  • "Default 1xxx storage configuration" - No imc, 2.5GB ur0. ONLY select with a memory card inserted.
  • "Dump/Flash the user partition table" - Creates/Flashes a partition table, to use with /pc/mbrtool.

Toggle the AutoAVLS feature

Self explanitory.

Disable IDU mode

Used to disable the mode on PS Vita kisok consoles.

Disable Manufacturing Mode

Used to disable a hidden service mode if currently in it.

Restart

Hard reboots the console.
