The Microsoft Xbox One is a console from the eighth generation of video game consoles. The console was launched in North America and Europe on November 22, 2013 followed by Japan (September 4th, 2014). Three major models were released in it's lifespan: the original Xbox One ("fat"); the Xbox One S ("slim") which featured HDR10 and 4K video output and upscaling; and the Xbox One X which was capable of checkerboard rendering games at 4K resolution.
