There is a variety of external plug-n-play devices for the TurboGrafx-16 to add features. These devices are only compatible with units that have an expansion port.
Compatible Systems
- PC Engine (white)
- TurboGrafx-16 (see note below)
- PC Engine Core Grafx
- PC Engine Core Grafx II
- PC Engine SuperGrafx
- PC Engine LT (no CD audio, this requires an additional mod detailed here)
Spark Plug
The Spark Plug is a device designed by Tienfeng that allows for RGB and composite video output via a 9 pin mini-DIN connector (the same as a Genesis Model 2). It also provides another composite video port and stereo audio.
db GrafxBooster TTP
The db GrafxBooster TTP is a device designed by DB Electronics that adds RGB and S-video outputs, as well as providing another composite video output and stereo audio. It also has a jumper onboard to choose between TTL sync and regular CSYNC.
