What You Need

  • A storage device compatible with your system:
    • Vita:SD2Vita with microSD (suits any Vita / PSTV model)
    • PSVSD with microSD (Vita 3G model only)
    • A USB drive (PSTV only)
  • The latest release of Vita:VitaDeploy

Section I - Formatting the microSD

  1. Insert your storage device into your PS Vita or PS TV
  2. Launch the VitaDeploy application
  3. Press Cross on Miscellaneous
  4. Press Cross on Format a storage device
  5. Ensure Target is set to "SD2Vita" and Filesystem is set to "TexFAT"
  6. Press Cross on "Format target storage"

If this fails, ensure the adapter is inserted properly and is undamaged - then reboot and try again Navigate back to the Vita Deploy menu and press Cross on "Reboot your device"


Section II - Installing yamt-vita

Exclamation-triangle-fill.svgIf you did the 3.65 Quick Install of VitaDeploy, you already have YAMT installed and can skip this section.


On your device, open VitaDeploy

  1. Press Cross on App Downloader
  2. Select Cross YAMT Installer
  3. Press Cross on Download the selected apps
  4. Press Cross on YAMT.vpk and confirm with Cross again to install
  5. Once done Close out of the VitaDeploy application
  6. Launch the newly installed YAMT Installer application
  7. Press Cross on → Install the lite version

Once finished, your device will reboot

  1. Open the Settings application
  2. Navigate to Devices → Storage Devices
  3. Enable "Use YAMT" to enable the YAMT driver
  4. Set ux0: to "Default"
  5. Set uma0: to "SD2Vita"
  6. Hold the power button and select "Power Off"
