What You Need
- A storage device compatible with your system:
- Vita:SD2Vita with microSD (suits any Vita / PSTV model)
- PSVSD with microSD (Vita 3G model only)
- A USB drive (PSTV only)
- The latest release of Vita:VitaDeploy
If you previously installed StorageMgr or another storage plugin, please remove it from your ux0:tai/ or ur0:tai/ folder before continuing. |
Section I - Formatting the microSD
- Insert your storage device into your PS Vita or PS TV
- Launch the VitaDeploy application
- Press on Miscellaneous
- Press on Format a storage device
- Ensure Target is set to "SD2Vita" and Filesystem is set to "TexFAT"
- Press on "Format target storage"
If this fails, ensure the adapter is inserted properly and is undamaged - then reboot and try again Navigate back to the Vita Deploy menu and press on "Reboot your device"
Section II - Installing yamt-vita
If you did the 3.65 Quick Install of VitaDeploy, you already have YAMT installed and can skip this section. |
On your device, open VitaDeploy
- Press on App Downloader
- Select YAMT Installer
- Press on Download the selected apps
- Press on YAMT.vpk and confirm with again to install
- Once done Close out of the VitaDeploy application
- Launch the newly installed YAMT Installer application
- Press on → Install the lite version
Once finished, your device will reboot
Section III - Enabling the YAMT driver
- Open the Settings application
- Navigate to Devices → Storage Devices
- Enable "Use YAMT" to enable the YAMT driver
- Set ux0: to "Default"
- Set uma0: to "SD2Vita"
- Hold the power button and select "Power Off"
