RF modulator

Early production

For consoles with RCA ports only. Apparently based on the Sony RFU-90* modulator for Handycams.

  • SCPH-1060 (NTSC-M, Japanese VHF channels 1 or 2)
  • SCPH-1061 (NTSC-M, American VHF channels 3 or 4)
  • SCPH-1062 (PAL-G or PAL-I, European UHF channel 36)

Late production

For any console, including PS2/PS3 (uses AV Multi Out).

  • SCPH-1120 (NTSC-M, Japanese VHF channels 1 or 2)
  • SCPH-1121 (NTSC-M, American VHF channels 3 or 4)
  • SCPH-1122 (PAL-G or PAL-I, European UHF channel 36)

Later production

Designed for PS2, works on any console with AV Multi Out. Long composite/power cable and short RF cable, the opposite of its predecessors.

  • SCPH-10070 (NTSC-M, Japanese VHF channels 1 or 2)
  • SCPH-10071 (NTSC-M, American VHF channels 3 or 4)
  • SCPH-10072 (PAL-G or PAL-I, European UHF channel 36)

Composite

For any console, including PS2/PS3 (uses AV Multi Out).

  • SCPH-1140 (early production: hexagonal plugs, late production: round plugs with 4 alternating dashed/dotted grips)
  • SCPH-10030 (as above, with PS2 branding)
  • SCPH-10500 (PS3 branding, metalized plugs)
  • SCPH-1160 (RCA splitter with AV Multi Out passthrough)
  • SCPH-10080 (as above, with PS2 branding)
  • SCPH-10120 (as above, plus S-Video)

S-Video

For any console, including PS2/PS3 (uses AV Multi Out).

  • SCPH-1100 (direct cable)
  • SCPH-10060 (as above, PS2 branding)
  • SCPH-10500 (as above, PS3 branding, metalized plugs)
  • SCPH-10120 (breakout box)

RGB

For PS1 only (reduced performance on PS2/PS3 since terminating capacitors, present in these cables, got integrated in the console: only SCART replacement released as SCPH-10142). Backwards compatible with composite.

  • SCPH-1050 (JP-21)
  • SCPH-1052 (SCART)

AV Multi In (Game)

Cable with PlayStation connector on both sides, for use with compatible Sony TVs (Japan only?) including the official PS1 TV - the CRT:KV-21SP1.

For any console, including PS2/PS3 (uses AV Multi Out), whose YPbPr mode is also supported.
