Wii:Project Gerbil

Project Gerbil (as it is currently referred to) is a homebrew utility for the Nintendo Wii. It is in early development and is being developed by Werthorga Creations.

It was first brainstormed on May 11, 2021 but development started on May 30, 2022. It is scheduled for release in 2024 or earlier.

Features

Project Gerbil will possess a feature-rich GUI developed with libwiigui. It will also have a fully original HOME Menu. It is planned for the GUI to be operated with the:

• Wiimote buttons
• GameCube controller and a pointer controlled by its c-stick
• Wiimote pointer

It is planned to also have the following features:

• A startup animation/sound
• Themes (just background colors for now lmaooo)
• Background music (toggled on or off)
• Varying degrees of customization for all the above
• An actual WiiMote Settings option in the Home Menu.

The developer of Project Gerbil will not be sharing all of his ideas for the application for reasons undisclosed.
