RGB
Except on the Japanese-launch-exclusive DVD Player 1.0 and third party hacks, RGB mode is artificially incompatible with DVD-Video playing software.
Standard resolution
- SCPH-10142 (SCART)
- Sync from video (composite/Y) only.
- VMC-AVM250 (AV Multi In)
- PACKAPUNCH Cable (SCART CSYNC)

ED and HD
- SCPH-10320 (VGA HD-15)
- Sync on green only.
- VMC-AVM250 (AV Multi In)
- As there is no difference between RGB and YPbPr cables except the attached connectors, they are interchangeable if atypical connectors are desired.
YPbPr
- SCPH-10100 (RCA)
- SCPH-10490 (as above, PS3 branding)
- SCPH-10330 (D-Terminal)
- SCPH-10510 (as above, PS3 branding)
- VMC-AVM250 (AV Multi In)
- HD Retrovision component (YPbPr) cable
- PACKAPUNCH Cable
HDMI
While the PS2 does not output HDMI, the RAD2X cables can adapt an RGB signal to HDMI and upscale the image to 480p.
- RAD2X Cable
- This does not allow you to convert a YPbPr signal to HDMI. This means that the native 480p output through a PS2 will not be compatible, but the upscaling produced by this adapter should produce a similar result.
