Replacement Battery
There are many battery options for the PlayStation Portable, but many generic clone batteries tend to have poor battery life and/or misleading mAh. This page lists all of the trusted options for replacement batteries.
Information has been sourced from Total Kommando's PSP battery video/spreadsheet.
Ideally, the best option is to re-cell an original Sony battery, as they have the best quality battery management system, with the added benefit of the ability to convert it into a Pandora battery if it was made before 2008. However, there are still decent third party options if this is outside one's skillset or comfort.
If you are buying a Cameron Sino battery, please make sure you verify the serial number on Cameron Sino's website.
The vast majority of third party batteries cannot be converted to be a Jigkick. The only batteries that can do so are OEM Sony batteries (phat batteries and early slim batteries) and some Datel batteries. |
