Required Items

  • Make sure you have Custom Firmware (CFW) installed.
  • Have dumped the 3DS or DS file by following this guide
  • A PC able to emulate 3DS or DS games

Installing the Emulator

  1. Download Citra
  2. Run the installer
  3. Click Next
  4. Choose a directory where you want Citra installed toDefault works with no issues
  5. Click Next when you have chosen the directory
  6. Select the Version of Citra you want
    • Nightly are official tested versions of Citra Known to work
    • Canary are development builds that are changing constantly with new features that are not tested
  7. Click Next after choosing the version of Citra you want
  8. Read the License Agreement or Click on I accept the License and click Next
  9. Click Next on the Start Menu shortcut
  10. Click Install
  11. Wait for it to finish installing and click Finish

Launching a Game

  1. Go into the Windows Start Menu
  2. Find the Citra launcher
  3. Click on it
  4. Double Click on Add New Game Directory
  5. Find the location where you transferred the game after following this guide
  6. Launch the Game
  7. Enjoy the your backed up game on your PC

Configuring a Controller or keyboard

  1. In Citra go under Emulation
  2. Click on Configure
  3. Click on Controls
  4. Change the key binds to what you want them to be on your controller or keyboard
