```pin 26 should be fine to leave connected as while the console is powered on, the /RESET signal from the battery management IC should be constant while the unit is in normal operation... if you leave it connected on the 256 kb FRAM, it should be a constant voltage while the console is powered on and when you go to power it off, or there is a power loss, it will toggle, but you probably aren't writing anything during that time, and it would toggle it to another bank.```
Therefore, I'll recommend leaving pin 26 connected unless bankswitching.
Pin 26
Originally, I had stated "If using a 256kb module and are not planning on bankswitching, lift pin 26 and attach it to GND since it is used as an address line and would be connected to the battery backup and produce undesired behavior". Zaxour provided schematic evidence and suggested that:
pin 26 should be fine to leave connected as while the console is powered on, the /RESET signal from the battery management IC should be constant while the unit is in normal operation... if you leave it connected on the 256 kb FRAM, it should be a constant voltage while the console is powered on and when you go to power it off, or there is a power loss, it will toggle, but you probably aren't writing anything during that time, and it would toggle it to another bank.
Therefore, I'll recommend leaving pin 26 connected unless bankswitching.
