PSP:Applying ROM Patches

Playing patched ROMs requires your PSP to have custom firmware installed.

Items needed

  1. Game iso(Creating Game Backups)
  2. Patch file(xdelta format)
  3. Patching software

  4. Archive extraction software of your choice.
  5. PSP with custom firmware installed(Custom Firmware Installation)

Procedure

  1. Download and extract your game patch file(if necessary). The file should be in xdelta format.
  2. Download and extract xdelta UI to somewhere you can easily access.
  3. Open xdelta UI.
  4. Navigate to the Apply Patch tab. It will be at the top of the window.
  5. Next to the Patch section, click “Open”. This will open an explorer window.
    1. Navigate to your xdelta patch’s location, select it, then click open.
  6. Next to the Source File section, click “Open”. This will open an explorer window.
    1. Navigate to your game iso files location, select it, then click open.
  7. Next to the Output File section, click “…”. This will open an explorer window.
    1. Navigate to the folder that you wish to save your patched game to.
    2. Under the “File name” section, enter your desired output file name, along with .iso.
    3. Leave “Save as type” blank.
    4. Click “Save”.
  8. Click the patch button within the Xdelta UI window. It may take a few minutes for the patch to apply.
  9. Wait for the "File patched successfully" message.
