Hardware Add-ons or Modifications

SD2Vita or PSVSD

Allows for the usage of a microSD card on a PS Vita, which are more reliable, have higher potential storage capacities, and are cheaper than the original PS Vita memory cards.

Useful Applications

Multi purpose file manager, which is also needed to install .VPK files.

★ Adrenaline ★

Allows a PS Vita to boot into a fully featured 6.61 ME based PSP CFW, letting you run PSP games and PSP homebrew like if you were on an original PSP.

VitaDeploy

A homebrew utility with many useful applications built into it. Normally if you follow an up to date guide, VitaDeploy will already be installed. However, since it is such an important utility, it is mentioned here as well.

If you came here from a 3.60 HENkaku installation, you may still want to look into installing VitaDeploy due to its built in utilities.

Installing the PlayStation Mobile Runtime with CrystalPSM

CrystalPSM is a simple PS Vita homebrew application that can install the runtime required for PlayStation Mobile content.

  1. Download the latest release of CrystalPSM and transfer the VPK to the console with VitaShell.
  2. On the console, select the VPK to install the application.
  3. Exit VitaShell and launch CrystalPSM from the LiveArea.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.
