Exclamation-circle-fill.svgIf you rebuild your database in recovery mode, you will need to repeat this process.

When you press the PS button to open the multitasking menu, there are advertisements displayed at the bottom of the screen. With a simple modification, you can disable those advertisements. This process was found by /u/DarkBlack711 on reddit.

  1. Enable HENKaku.
  2. Open molecularShell/VitaShell and navigate to ur0:shell/. Delete the whats_new folder and restart your console.
  3. Once you are back at the home screen, press the PS button a couple of times until it downloads and displays the advertisements once again.
  4. Navigate to ur0:shell/whats_new/np/ with molecularShell/VitaShell and inside that folder you will see whatsnew.xml. Delete it and create a folder named whatsnew.xml.
  5. Restart your console and you can now use the multitasking menu without advertisements.
