The Pioneer/NEC LaserActive is a 16-bit console from the fourth generation of video game consoles. The console was launched in Japan on August 20th, 1993 followed by North America on September 13th, 1993. It is a LaserDisc, LD-G, and CDDA player capable of interfacing with "PAC" control pack modules, effectively adding a Sega Genesis and NEC Turbo Duo onto it. It also has a Karaoke machine add-on and a Japan-only PAC that allows you to interface with a PC. Six games also support 3-D Goggles made specifically for the system.
