# Install the latest Rebug CFW.
# Download [[PS3:Firmwares#Evilnat|the latest Evilnat CFW]] and [[PS3:Updating your Firmware|install it]].  
#* Download it from [http://rebug.me Rebug.me] and [[PS3:Updating Firmware|install it]].
#* Install the PEX version if you are on CEX (normal retail CECH console).
#* Install the REX version if you are on CEX; Install the D-REX version if you are on DEX. If you are not sure, try REX first.
#* Install the P-DEX version if you are on DEX (a test kit DECH console or a retail CECH console converted to DEX)
# Install Rebug Toolbox.
# Enable the QA Flag. It enables your console to allow downgrading from one CFW to a lower version CFW without use of downgrader firmware. It also allows use of the Debug Settings on the XMB and the [[PS3:Updating your Firmware#Update Manager|update manager]].
#* Browse to Package Manager → Install Package Files → PS3 System Storage → Rebug_Toolbox_xx.xx.xx.pkg.
#* Go to the "Network" column of the XMB, navigate to "Custom Firmware Tools" > "Cobra Tools" > "QA Tools" > "Enable QA Flags".
# Enable the QA Flag.
# Dump your EID0_root_key and back it up to your PC. This will let you access your hard drive files in the case that your PS3 dies.  
#* Browse to the last column of Rebug Toolbox and select "Toggle QA Flag". This will allow you to install any firmware over your current one, in case something goes wrong.
#* Plug a USB storage drive into the rightmost USB port of the console and navigate to "Network" > "Custom Firmware Tools" > "Dump Tools" > "Dump ERK". The EID will be located in<code>/dev_usb/</code>.  
# Dump your EID0_root_key and back it up to your PC.  
#** If the EID was dumped without a USB drive plugged in, it will instead go to <code>/dev_hdd0/tmp/</code>.  
#* Plug a flash drive into the rightmost USB port and launch Rebug Toolbox. In the last column select "Dump EID0_root_key" and it will back it up to your flash drive. This will let you access your hard drive files in the case that your PS3 dies.  
# Install [[PS3:WebMAN|webMAN-MOD]]. It will allow you to have various features, like safely accessing PSN, host an internal web server with various settings, control the PS3's fan speed, launch games from the XMB, and much more.
#* In some cases, it will back up to your hard drive instead of your flash drive. If this happens, use [[PS3:MultiMAN#File Manager|Multiman's file manager]] to browse to `/dev_hdd0/game/RBGTLBOX2/USRDIR/` and copy eid_root_key to your flash drive.
# You can choose to download the following applications, place them on a USB flash drive, plug them into your PS3, and select Install Packages → Media Device, and choose each package.

  1. Download the latest Evilnat CFW and install it.
    • Install the PEX version if you are on CEX (normal retail CECH console).
    • Install the P-DEX version if you are on DEX (a test kit DECH console or a retail CECH console converted to DEX)
